User Agreement & Responsible Use

Updated October 27, 2026 · Version 2026-10-27.1

Flipbook Studio formats and assembles material supplied by its users. You are responsible for what you submit, the releases you distribute and how you use the service.

Flipbook Studio is a service operated under Balloon Bear Expeditions, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Assembly checkout

The displayed CAD assembly price covers one completed downloadable release, not customer hosting. In Live mode, PayPal collects the displayed CAD amount for one release. Sandbox mode uses test payments only. Introductory assembly is CA$9.95 while launch pricing is active. Regular prices are CA$14.95 for visual releases up to 30 pages, CA$19.95 for a 22-page educator release, and CA$24.95 for visual releases of 31–99 pages, within upload limits. Hosting is not included. Check the final price before approving payment. If a technical problem prevents delivery, keep your checkout reference and contact support@balloonbearexpeditions.com for assistance, a retry or refund. Do not pay a second time for the same failed delivery. Refunds are reviewed individually; applicable consumer rights are preserved. A refund cannot erase copies already downloaded. Keep this tab open until your download completes; drafts are not saved for recovery.

Content rights and permissions

Submit and publish content only when you own the necessary rights, hold the required permission or licence, or have another lawful basis for the intended use. This applies to text, artwork, photographs, recordings, music compositions, video, names, likenesses and other protected material. Follow licence conditions, attribution requirements and applicable privacy and consent rules. Finding a file online or buying a copy does not by itself establish permission to republish it.

Prohibited uses

Do not use the service to create or distribute unlawful content, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, defame others, threaten or harass people, commit fraud, deceptively impersonate others, distribute malware, sexually exploit children, or share intimate material without consent. Do not use the service to facilitate illegal activity or evade another service’s lawful access restrictions.

Your publication decisions

You are responsible for checking factual accuracy, instructions, safety information, suitability for your intended audience and the legality of your publication. You are also responsible for permissions, advertising claims, sales, payments and other obligations arising from your distribution or sale of a release. Assembly does not grant publishing rights or provide legal clearance.

What the checks do

The file and required-field check evaluates supported inputs and completeness. It does not provide a visual preview, certify media playback, confirm the accuracy or legality of content, assess safety, or verify that external websites work or remain suitable. Open and test the finished release before distribution.

Examples and external links

Examples demonstrate the publication format and its features. Public access to an example does not grant permission to copy, resell or reuse its content unless a separate licence allows it. External websites are operated by their respective providers and may change. A link does not guarantee their content, safety or availability.

Service limitations and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Keep your original source files and a saved copy of your finished release.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Flipbook Studio and its operator disclaim responsibility and liability for user-supplied content, unlawful or improper use of the tool, and claims or losses arising from a user’s publication, distribution or sale of that content. This notice does not excuse unlawful conduct by the operator, override applicable law, or exclude or limit consumer rights, duties or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Acceptance records

When you agree and create a release, the service retains a private acceptance record separately from temporary media. It includes the assembly ID, release title, server acceptance time, agreement version and text fingerprint. Successful assembly adds a fingerprint of the submitted files. The standard retention period is 365 days from each record’s creation, followed by scheduled cleanup. Documented legal holds may extend retention for a specific dispute or legal obligation. See the Privacy Policy. Your uploaded media is still subject to temporary-upload cleanup. A copy of your acknowledgement and the agreement is included in the downloaded release. This records acceptance by the submitting session; it does not verify a person’s identity.

No professional advice or certification

Using this service does not provide legal advice, professional safety advice, educational accreditation or regulatory approval. Obtain appropriate professional advice where your intended publication requires it.
